Frequently asked questions

Here are a selection of common brand related questions. If you have a question that isn't covered here, you can email us at hello@newcoloursmade.com

  • Do I really need a brand?
You need a brand to help position yourself and stand out in the marketplace. A brand gives your business a personality which helps people both identify you and understand what you stand for. You could say the value you place on a brand brings depends how the scale of the business growth or damage it can potentially create. So a start up won't place the same value on it's a brand as a corporate. But if a new business takes off, it's better to avoid rebranding and risk confusing customers further down the line - so it's worth trying to get it right from the beginning.
  • What's the difference between a brand and a logo?
A logo is essentially an icon that helps your business become recognised. It is a key brand asset but it's not a brand. A brand encompasses a much broader group of elements that together determine how people feel, think and ultimately experience your business. A brand includes elements such as a purpose, personality and position. See our thinking page for more information.
